Follow a young Aboriginal man's journey from the rough and tumble fights of the boxing tents of the 1940s and 50s post-war Australia, to his career as a professional and champion boxer. "Up the Ladder", written by award winning Aboriginal playwright Roger Bennett will have its Tokyo premiere at the Repertoire Theatre Kaze over 12-16 November.
Renowned for their cutting edge and controversial performances of indigenous theatre from around the world, the Rakutendan Theater Company will perform "Up the Ladder" in Japanese. They will be joined by Kirk Page, an Indigenous Australian actor.

Performances are on at 7.30pm on 12, 13, 14 November and at 2.30pm and 6.30pm on 15, 16 November. Please nominate which performance you would prefer to attend. The free tickets can not be used for the 6.30pm performance on 15 November.
Note: Performance will be played only in Japanese language.
