Don't Look Down An Exhibition by Jason Benjamin & Angus McDonald + Solo Exhibition by David Bromley In December the works of three high profile contemporary Australian artists – Angus McDonald and Jason Benjamin in "Don't Look Down" and David Bromley in a solo exhibition of recent works - will show in trendy Daikanyama at the Hillside Forum and Obsession Gallery as part of Ancient Future - Australian Arts Festival Japan 2003. The three internationally acclaimed artists have already received an enthusiastic reception from Japan when they staged a show together at Tokyo's Bunkamura Gallery in 2002. The works were seen by 4000 people over five days. Jason Benjamin Exhibiting since 1989, 32 year old Jason Benjamin already enjoys nation-wide appeal in Australia where the notable Australian art collector magazine short listed him in their "Top 50 Most Collectable Artists". Benjamin's art is widely exhibited and collected internationally and nationally. He has exhibited in Tokyo, Singapore, the UK, USA and Australia. Works have been collected by institutions and private collectors such as Hollywood stars Kevin Spacey and Brad Pitt. Angus McDonald Angus McDonald has exhibited nationally and internationally to broad critical acclaim and has commissioned works in some of Sydney's swankiest hotels and restaurants. His work concentrates on light. "In almost every piece, I'm chasing after the light as it passes over surfaces and planes empty space..." David Bromley For the past few years Bromley's work has been attracting considerable attention with its nostalgia for childhood and his dramatic use of acrylic paint and rich texture. He has held solo exhibitions every year in major international cities since 1987, and works have been collected by galleries, hotels, colleges, universities, and law firms throughout Australia.
